The club was founded by journalists on the London Evening News in 1976 and now visits some of the most pleasant club and village grounds in the Home Counties. There are tours every year - to the Cotswolds in June, rural Derbyshire in early September, the delights of south-west France at the beginning of October, and other occasional destinations. Suru Chowdury (Stroller No 273)
Golam Faruq Chowdhury is a former Bangladeshi cricketer who played in five one-day internationals from 1986 to 1990. A right-arm medium pacer and more than a useful lower-order batsman, Faruq (commonly known as Suru) was a regular with the national side throughout the 1980s.
Suru played nine games for the Strollers after being recruited in a Tooting curry house by James Rice. He scored a little matter of 593 runs at 197.67.

Charlotte has represented England Under-19s.
Glen Oliver (Stroller No 706)
Glen has represented England in indoor cricket.
Andy German (Stroller No 801) 
Andy has played for the French national team.

Bradleigh Donelan (Stroller No 171)
Bradleigh played first class and List A cricket for Sussex between 1989 and 1993, and then a single first-class match for Somerset. He made one appearance for the Strollers against Chalfont St Peter in 1984.
