The club was founded by journalists on the London Evening News in 1976 and now visits some of the most pleasant club and village grounds in the Home Counties. There are tours every year - to the Cotswolds in June, rural Derbyshire in early September, the delights of south-west France at the beginning of October, and other occasional destinations. Sunday August 23, 1pm start

Take the M40 out from the M25 towards Oxford.

At junction 2, take the A355 towards Amersham. At a junction before you come into Amersham go off left along the A413 towards Little Missenden and Aylesbury.

You pass the A4128 going off to your left to Great Missenden. A little further on, turn right into Leather Lane, signposted to The Lee, a narrow lane with passing places.

At the T-junction at the top, turn left. Continue on this winding road until The Cock and Rabbit pub is reached on the left, adjacent to the village green. Take first right near the War Memorial; the ground is about 200 yards further on, on the right.
